How to read this radar map

Blue pixels show areas classified as likely flooded. This is a class map, not measured flood depth or a verified flood boundary.

Why some urban flooding may be missing: Sentinel-1 radar detects open water well, but buildings can block or distort the signal. Water between densely built structures may therefore be underestimated or absent from the map even where flooding occurred.

Potential flooding is an uncertainty buffer; permanent water is not event-specific inundation.
Do not use this preliminary result for emergency response, legal boundaries, or final planning decisions.
